Trainee Tank Cleaner
Location: Portsmouth, PO1 3LT Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent benefits Schedule: Full-time / Permanent / 37.5 hours

As a Trainee Tank Cleaner in our Industrial Services team, you’ll support essential cleaning operations that keep critical infrastructure running safely and efficiently. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining high standards across environments that people and industries rely on every day.

What You’ll Do
You will be entrusted to:
- Support the cleaning and maintenance of industrial tanks and confined spaces
- Learn to operate specialist equipment safely and effectively
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Travel to client sites and contribute to delivering high-quality services
- Work closely with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintain accurate records and take pride in your work

- You must be able to obtain or already hold a Security Clearance (SC) level or have no issues getting one.
- You’re comfortable working in small, enclosed spaces and able to carry out tasks safely in confined environments.

Note: This role requires the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. Depending on the role type, you may also need to obtain a higher Security Clearance (e.g., CTC or SC), which includes further background checks (employment, criminal record, financial history). UK residency requirements may apply for certain clearances.
You’ll also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to ensure support for your needs.
