As a Class C / C+E ADR Driver at Certas Energy, you’ll play a vital role in delivering our products safely and efficiently to customers across the region. You’ll be responsible for operating a company vehicle, loading and discharging products in line with company procedures, and ensuring every delivery is completed safely, professionally and with excellent customer service. As an ambassador for Certas Energy, you’ll help maintain our high standards while ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and legal requirements.

What you’ll be doing
- Deliver products safely and efficiently, following delivery instructions, company procedures and the Driver’s Handbook.
- Operate company vehicles and depot equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy before setting off.
- Load and discharge products safely and responsibly, checking loading sheets against delivery tickets for the correct product grade and volume.
- At customer premises, verify the name, address, product grade and tank capacity before making a delivery.
- Re-check ullage before setting the meter and ensure that no more than the appropriate volume is dispensed.
- Obtain customer signatures upon delivery where possible.
- Report all accidents, incidents, spills, product contamination, operational issues and unsafe delivery sites immediately through the correct communication procedures.
- Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Wear the required PPE at all times and ensure it remains in good working order.
- Attend safety meetings and contribute to depot operations, including reading and following safety bulletins and toolbox talks.
- Use ladders and access the vehicle cab safely, following company training and guidelines.
- Maintain a smart appearance and wear the Certas Energy uniform at all times when representing the company.
- Provide customers with a first-class service through positive, courteous and professional interactions.
- Assist customers where required and escalate queries or discrepancies with delivery instructions to your line manager or supervisor.
- Provide significant customer feedback to Line Management and identify opportunities for additional business.
- Promote relevant sales campaigns and the Planned Delivery Service where appropriate.
- Maintain an understanding of Certas Energy's products and services, including their features, benefits and delivery precautions.
- Report competitor activity and potential new business opportunities to Line Management or the relevant sales team.
- Ensure effective use of IT systems in line with company policies and procedures.
- Understand departmental and business targets and the role you play in achieving them.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues and other departments, contributing to effective teamwork and operational excellence.
- Take responsibility for your own personal development and request further training where required.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure business-sensitive information is not shared outside the company.
- Inform Line Management at the earliest opportunity if you experience difficulties completing delivery schedules or encounter unsafe delivery conditions.
- Ensure your Driving Licence, ADR and other relevant documentation remain valid and report any changes immediately.

What we’ll need from you
- ADR qualification is essential.
- Class C or Class C+E licence, depending on the role.
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is essential.
- Digital tachograph card is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the fuel industry would be an advantage.
- PDP qualification is preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical and logical reasoning skills.
- A strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
- A professional, courteous and customer-focused approach.
- Good judgement when dealing with challenging delivery conditions and customer environments.
- The ability to follow procedures accurately and responsibly.
- Flexibility, enthusiasm and a willingness to support colleagues and other teams across the business.
- A commitment to continuous personal development and maintaining the standards expected of a Certas Energy representative.
