Main Responsibilities
- Define and shape future-state architecture across the data platform landscape while being delivery-focused.
- Lead and support build vs. buy assessments, providing clear recommendations based on business, technology, and strategic considerations.
- Provide strategic architectural direction to delivery and technology teams.
- Ensure solutions align with the Group Data Platform strategy, a key strategic direction.
- Assess how existing platforms and capabilities evolve to support future requirements.
- Consider the needs of data consumers when shaping platform and architectural decisions.
- Support the transition from current to target-state architecture, identifying dependencies and risks.
- Resolve architectural conflicts and competing priorities across teams.
- Consider the role of low-code/no-code technologies in the future-state architecture.
- Maintain awareness of the wider AI agenda and initiatives to ensure platform decisions support these ambitions.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across Architecture, Data, Technology, and the business for alignment around the target state.

Key Requirements
- Transition / Solution Architecture experience within complex enterprise environments.
- Experience in banking.
- Expertise in data platforms and modern data architecture.
- Experience in defining and implementing target-state architecture.
- Proven ability in leading build vs. buy assessments and technology evaluations.
- Experience working within large, regulated organizations and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- Ability to provide strategic direction while staying close to delivery.
- Experience managing and resolving architectural disagreements across multiple teams.
- Understanding of low-code/no-code platforms and technologies.
- Awareness of emerging AI and data platform trends impacting enterprise architecture.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
