As part of our mission to Get, Grow and Keep Great People, we continue to strengthen how we deliver high-quality digital solutions that support our organisation and the wider NHS.

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Tax Accountant to join our Finance team and help ensure we continue to deliver excellent financial stewardship across a complex and purpose-driven organisation.

About the Role

As a Tax Accountant, you will be a key member of our Finance team, providing expert support across tax compliance, reporting, forecasting, and advisory activities. You'll take ownership of Corporation Tax, VAT, and CIS processes, ensuring accurate and timely submissions while providing guidance to stakeholders across the business. This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to influence decision-making, support business change, and contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes, systems, and controls. You'll work closely with internal teams, external advisors, auditors, and HMRC to ensure compliance and best practice across all tax matters.

Who You Are

You are a qualified tax or finance professional with strong technical knowledge across UK taxation. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent attention to detail, and are comfortable building relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You'll bring a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and a passion for continuous improvement, helping us drive efficiencies through improved processes and technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Corporation Tax activities, including return reviews, forecasting liabilities, tax elections, and supporting strategic tax planning.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, including partial exemption calculations and VAT reporting.
  • Manage and submit monthly CIS returns and ensure accurate CIS reporting and deductions.
  • Prepare tax disclosures for statutory accounts, including Corporation Tax and Deferred Tax calculations.
  • Act as a key contact for HMRC correspondence, audit queries, and internal tax-related enquiries.
  • Support Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) certification requirements.
  • Conduct technical tax research and provide practical advice on regulatory and business changes.
  • Support tax technology and system improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver training and guidance to colleagues across the business on tax matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement using digital solutions and data-led approaches.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
