About Us
We are a growing accountancy practice providing bookkeeping, accounts, VAT, payroll, and taxation services to a wide range of small businesses and individuals.
We are looking for a Tax Accountant to support our expanding client portfolio and assist with tax compliance, accounts preparation, and client management.
Main Duties
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Assisting with corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns.
- Bookkeeping using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
- Reconciling bank accounts, sales, and purchase ledgers.
- Supporting payroll processing and PAYE compliance.
- Assisting with statutory accounts preparation.
- Liaising with HMRC and responding to client queries.
- Ensuring Companies House and HMRC filing deadlines are met.
- Supporting clients with general accounting and taxation matters.

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, or finance-related roles.
- Good understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Experience preparing VAT returns and financial records.
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client assignments and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
