Tax Accountant – Corporation Tax | Milton Keynes
Currently working with an established specialist recruitment business based in Milton Keynes, supporting clients and professionals across the healthcare sector.
They are looking to appoint a Tax Accountant into their finance function, with the successful candidate taking ownership of corporation tax and wider tax compliance across the business.
This is a hands-on opportunity where you’ll have genuine ownership of the tax function, working closely with senior finance stakeholders and external advisers whilst helping to strengthen the company’s internal tax processes and controls.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of corporation tax compliance, including preparation, submissions and key deadlines
- Preparing and managing P11D submissions and associated employment tax requirements
- Reviewing historic tax positions and working through outstanding HMRC matters
- Supporting the business across IR35, self-employment and contractor-related tax matters
- Working closely with external tax advisers whilst bringing greater tax knowledge and capability in-house
- Reviewing and improving existing tax processes, controls and reporting
- Providing practical tax support to the wider finance team and senior stakeholders

We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong experience across corporation tax, ideally alongside broader employment tax exposure
- Experience preparing P11Ds
- A background in either practice or industry
- Good knowledge of IR35 and self-employment
- Experience dealing with HMRC and resolving tax queries or historic issues
- A hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of a busy tax remit
- Strong attention to detail and the confidence to work independently
