Glasgow City Centre | £40,000–£65,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Would you like to take ownership of tax for one of Scotland's most successful and fastest-growing privately owned businesses?
We are recruiting a Tax Accountant to join the Finance team of a substantial Glasgow-headquartered organisation which has grown revenues beyond £300m.
This is a rare opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in UK Corporate Tax compliance to step into a genuinely broad in-house position where you will become the key internal point of contact for tax across the Group.
You will either be CA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualified or be currently studying towards one of these qualifications. What matters most is that you have a solid technical background in UK Corporate Tax compliance and are ready for greater ownership.
The role:
Working within the Finance team and alongside senior finance colleagues, you will have primary responsibility for the Group's tax calculations, reporting and compliance requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
