About The Tax Advisor Role

We have an exciting opportunity for Tax Advisor to join our team in Nottingham. Previous tax experience is essential as is finding the right fit to complement our existing team.
We're seeking an ambitious and proactive tax professional who thrives on building relationships, solving problems and delivering exceptional client service. You'll be joining a talented and supportive team where collaboration, continuous learning and career development are actively encouraged, giving you the opportunity to shape both your future and the success of our clients.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns for a varied client base
- Provide tailored tax advice, identifying planning opportunities and ensuring compliance with current legislation
- Handle complex project work, including tax planning, restructuring, and ad hoc advisory assignments
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
- Monitor deadlines and manage competing priorities to ensure timely delivery of work
- Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and proactively communicate impacts to clients

About You –
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Ideally ATT or CTA qualified or working towards
- Relevant experience of working in an accountancy practice
- Good technical knowledge of personal and corporate tax.
- Proactive and energetic in every task undertaken
- Seek direction from others when appropriate, achieve objectives, drive feedback, cope well with pressure and show genuine interest
- Strong desire to exceed expectations and drive own career
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adopts calm and assured approach, makes time for people, shares knowledge
- Ability to juggle a number of jobs, whilst demonstrating excellent time management skills to ensure all deadlines and expectations are met.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Show initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of tasks from start to finish
