Tax Systems Analyst (Contract)
Location: London, UK (Remote)
Duration: 6 Months (Contract-to-Hire Potential)
We are seeking an experienced Tax Systems Analyst to join a dynamic technology team supporting enterprise tax systems and business-critical finance applications. This role will work closely with Tax, Finance, and IT stakeholders to configure, maintain, and enhance tax technology solutions while supporting ongoing business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain tax reports, tax assist rules, tax drivers, and tax categories within Vertex applications.
- Configure taxpayers and legal entities across Vertex and Oracle ERP.
- Provide functional support for tax-related processes within Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Procurement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tax system issues while ensuring compliance with business requirements.
- Collaborate with Tax, Finance, and IT teams to deliver enhancements and system improvements.
- Support implementation of new tax initiatives and technology projects.
- Maintain system documentation and provide user support where required.

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with enterprise tax systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Vertex O-Series
- Vertex VAT Compliance
- Vertex Indirect Tax Returns
- Oracle ERP Tax
- Vertex Accelerator for Oracle ERP
- Experience configuring tax rules, reports, drivers, categories, and legal entities.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Service (TRCS).
- Exposure to E-Invoicing solutions.
- Experience with enterprise billing systems or other tax applications.
- Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.
