Tax & Probate Specialist | Private Client | Surrey (Hybrid) - Remote with 1 day in office per week or fortnight | Full-time or Part-time (3 days considered)

We're looking for a tax professional with a genuine interest in private client work, someone who's comfortable with personal tax, understands the complexity of deceased estates, and can work with both legal and financial stakeholders without hand-holding.

The Role

You'll sit at the intersection of tax and law, embedded within a law firm and working alongside solicitors and probate professionals to manage the financial side of deceased estates. Day-to-day, that means:

  • Preparing personal tax returns
  • Handling CGT and IHT calculations
  • Preparing full estate accounts
  • Supporting probate applications (helpful if you've done this, not a dealbreaker if not)
  • Liaising with HMRC and internal legal teams
  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients during difficult times

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
