Global Mobility Services Overview
KPMG’s Global Mobility Services (GMS) practice is expanding rapidly within our Tax business, serving clients across the** London region**—from multinational corporations to ambitious start-ups going international. Our teams are 360° customer-focused, blending tax expertise, client leadership, and relationship management under your remit as Tax Assistant Manager.
This area simplifies managing a globally dispersed workforce by tackling complex people challenges—cross-border, remote work, and virtual assignments. You’ll collaborate with tax, technology, immigration, and mobility specialists, leveraging cutting-edge solutions to deliver ** Opportunities for clients**—and your career.

Role and Responsibilities
Client Relations & Advisory
- Building and maintaining trusting relationships with clients
- Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients
- Creating a seamless client experience
Tax & Mobility Support
- Reviewing tax returns and overseeing Income Tax/National Insurance Contribution (NIC) calculations
- Conducting comprehensive arrival/departure briefings for relocating staff
- Drafting expert written advice and assisting clients with Global Mobility Services (GMS)-related issues
Project & Team Management
- Directing advisory projects to ensure client deliverables align with deadlines
- Ensuring clients receive up-to-date information on GMS trends and deliverables
- Contributing to business development initiatives and proposals
People Leadership
- Mentoring more junior team members to support growth and skill development
Qualifications & Skills
Professional Requirements
- ATT qualifying or an equivalent accredited Tax professional qualification
Experience & Competencies Sought
Technical Proficiency
- Hands-on UK Expatriate Tax experience, covering:
- Tax briefings
- Cumulative forecasts
- International advisory support
- Deep understanding of managing global assignee populations, including:
- Immigration compliance
- Social security classifications
- Compensation schemes across multiple countries/jurisdictions
Personal Attributes & Mindset
- Reads as energetic, committed, and ambitious
- Pays attention to own work accountability—capable of receiving constructive, positive feedback
- Highly analytical, able to identify core issues, synthesise data, and propose solutions
- Exceptional verbal/written communicator, with a focus on clarity, honesty, and consistency
