Job Title
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at ATT or ACA level who is looking to develop their practical tax experience within a supportive team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and completing a portfolio of Self-Assessment Tax Returns, ranging from straightforward returns for small self-employed businesses through to simple director tax returns involving P60s, dividends, and employment income. There will also be the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the new Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements and submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and completing Self-Assessment Tax Returns.
- Dealing with a range of clients, including small self-employed businesses and company directors.
- Preparing straightforward tax computations based on information such as P60s, dividends, and employment income.
- Reviewing client information and identifying any missing or relevant tax information.
- Assisting with the introduction and ongoing requirements of Making Tax Digital.
- Preparing and submitting MTD-related returns where appropriate.
- Liaising with clients and colleagues to obtain the information required to complete tax returns.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within relevant deadlines.

About You
We are looking for candidates who are:
- ATT or ACA qualified, part-qualified, or studying towards the relevant qualification.
- Ideally experienced in preparing Self-Assessment Tax Returns.
- Comfortable working with figures and financial information.
- Accurate and detail-oriented.
- Organised and able to manage multiple pieces of work and deadlines.
- Confident communicating with clients and colleagues.
- Interested in developing their wider tax knowledge, particularly around Making Tax Digital.

Experience within an accountancy practice would be advantageous, although relevant tax experience will also be considered.
