The Position
In providing tailored solutions to the individual needs of our clients, Forvis Mazars tax examine and offer a comprehensive range of tax services to national and international clients with a particular emphasis on helping them to structure their businesses and financial affairs tax efficiently.
Forvis Mazars has one of the largest teams of tax specialists in Ireland and provides a full range of tax services to small and medium sized enterprises, private and publicly quoted companies and individuals. Our approach entails coming forward with ideas and solutions that bring added value to clients, based on a comprehensive understanding of each client’s particular business. We are part of the International Forvis Mazars organisation, Europe’s largest independent firm of accountants and advisors, and as such are ideally placed to provide advice on cross border transactions and international tax issues.

As a Tax Associate, you will be trained and developed in the following areas:
- Preparation of tax computations, personal tax returns and corporation tax returns for our income tax and corporation tax clients
- Research, review and interpretation of tax legislation, Revenue guidance and published papers
- Assisting in the preparation of tax consultancy reports and responding to client queries
- Working with international clients on global tax issues e.g. setting up new companies in foreign countries
- Reviewing tax issues around potential succession planning e.g. passing on a business to the next generation and the tax implications that should be considered
- Communicating with clients and Revenue on an ongoing basis
- Attending client meetings along with more senior staff members to obtain one-to-one client interaction skills
- Working alongside our experienced tax team, gaining training across all tax heads.
- Identifying tax planning opportunities for clients
