About the Company

We are seeking Tax Associate to join our growing Belfast team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional who is looking to expand their technical expertise while working with a diverse portfolio of private clients.

About the Role

The Role

As a Tax Associate, you will support the preparation of personal tax returns, assist with tax computations, liaise with HMRC, and help clients manage their personal tax obligations. You will work closely with senior team members while building your technical tax knowledge and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Personal Tax Returns and Self-Assessment filings
  • Assisting with Personal Tax Computations
  • Supporting client communications and resolving tax-related queries
  • Liaising with HMRC regarding routine matters and tax repayments
  • Reviewing financial information and identifying missing documentation
  • Assisting with tax research and compliance work
  • Supporting senior team members in managing client portfolios
  • Keeping up to date with UK tax legislation and compliance requirements

Required Skills

  • Experience gained within an Accountancy Practice or Tax Consultancy environment
  • Exposure to UK Personal Tax and Self-Assessment Tax Returns
  • Knowledge of HMRC processes and tax compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Experience using tax or accounting software is advantageous
