We have 15 Partners and approximately 190 employees in total.
With over 65 trainees at varying stages of a training programme, the firm recognises the importance of life beyond learning. Our engaging social committee, with support from our partners, delivers a wide range of social and charitable activities such as our annual charity poker night, chess evenings, monthly drinks, puppy yoga, netball, cricket and tennis to name a few! These events are a great way to get to know colleagues at all levels.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Your Career in Private Client Tax at Dixon Wilson
Our private client tax team believe that everyone has a responsibility to conduct their affairs ethically. As a result, we assist personal tax clients to make sure they pay the appropriate amount of tax. We provide legitimate, robust tax advice that holds up to scrutiny from tax authorities. We pride ourselves on our ability to ensure that our clients remain compliant with current legislation.
By joining our three-year graduate programme we will fund and support you as you study towards the ATT & CTA qualifications. On successful completion of the ATT exams and with two years' practical tax experience, you will qualify as a Taxation Technician (Association of Taxation Technicians). Following this, you will continue your studies to qualify as a Chartered Tax Advisor and become a member of the Chartered Institute of taxation. The CTA is a globally recognised qualification and the pinnacle in professional tax expertise.

You’ll gain hands-on experience from day one. As part of one of our multi-disciplinary teams, you’ll start by supporting personal tax compliance for a diverse range of UK and international clients, including both individuals and trusts.
As you progress, you'll get involved in various advisory projects covering complex financial matters for our private clients. You’ll be guided and mentored by experienced managers, developing the technical expertise and insight that make our private client tax team so highly regarded and technically adept.
What We Look For
- Candidates with an achieved 2.1 or higher and 120 UCAS points minimum (300 points under the old UCAS system)
- Good numeracy skills
- Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills
- A collaborative, team player attitude
- Adaptability when exposed to new situations and scenarios
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in private client tax
- An aptitude to deliver a first-class professional service to our clients
