We are working with a highly respected independent professional services firm that supports individuals, families, trusts, and businesses across the region. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Client Manager – Trusts & Estates to join a collaborative and supportive private client team. This role offers exposure to a high-quality client portfolio, complex advisory work, and genuine opportunities for professional development within a forward-thinking environment.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced private client tax professional with strong expertise in Trusts & Estates to manage a varied portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates.
Acting as a trusted adviser, you will deliver high-quality compliance services while identifying tax planning opportunities, supporting clients through complex matters, and developing long-term professional relationships. You will also play an important role in mentoring junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the private client function.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of trusts, estates, and private clients, ensuring all compliance obligations and deadlines are met.
- Prepare and review Trust, Estate and Personal Tax Returns.
- Advise trustees, executors, beneficiaries, and individuals on a range of taxation matters.
- Provide guidance on inheritance tax planning, succession planning, and capital gains tax issues.
- Support estate administration from a taxation perspective, including probate valuations and HMRC submissions.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and deliver proactive advice to clients.
- Review work prepared by junior team members and provide coaching and technical support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, solicitors, financial advisers, and other professional contacts.
- Assist with complex advisory projects and technical assignments.
- Monitor legislative changes impacting trusts, estates, and private clients.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the wider team.

- ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience within Private Client Tax.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Trust Taxation
- Estate Taxation
- Inheritance Tax (IHT)
- Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
- Estate Administration
- Experience managing client relationships independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
Desirable
- CTA qualified or currently studying towards CTA.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Knowledge of:
- Agricultural Property Relief (APR)
- Business Property Relief (BPR)
- Family Wealth Planning
- Landed Estates
