Tax Director – Corporate Tax

Glasgow | Hybrid Working | Up to £100,000 + Benefits

Lusona is working with a highly regarded specialist tax practice in Glasgow to recruit a Tax Director as part of the continued development of its senior team. This is an excellent opportunity for either an established Tax Director looking for greater autonomy and influence, or an ambitious Senior Manager who is ready to make the step up to Director.

Our client has developed an excellent reputation within the Scottish marketplace for providing high-quality tax advice to owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and their owners. Much of its work is generated through longstanding client relationships, repeat business and referrals from the wider professional community. The successful individual will take a senior role within the practice, with Corporate Tax as their primary specialism, spanning both compliance and advisory work.

The role

Working closely with the Partners, you will:

  • Take senior responsibility for a portfolio of owner-managed and privately owned business clients.
  • Oversee the delivery and review of corporate tax compliance, ensuring consistently high standards of technical quality and client service.
  • Lead and contribute to a broad range of corporate tax advisory projects, responding to the commercial and strategic issues facing entrepreneurial businesses and their owners.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to business owners, shareholders and senior management teams.
  • Manage more complex technical matters and provide guidance to colleagues where required.
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional advice across existing client relationships.
  • Work alongside the Partners on key client matters and the continued development of the practice.
  • Build and maintain relationships with professional contacts and referral partners.
  • Lead, coach and develop members of the tax team.
  • Ensure appropriate standards of quality, risk management and delivery are maintained across your portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
