Tax Director

Location: Brighton, Hybrid

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive, subject to experience and fit

About the Role

Lead tax strategy for a global education organisation.

We're looking for an experienced Tax Director to lead INTO's global tax function at a pivotal time for the business. This is a high-profile role with responsibility for tax compliance, advisory, governance, and planning across a complex international group operating with 60+ global legal entities and wider global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the SVP of Accounting, Tax & Shared Services, and working closely with senior leaders across the business.
  • Providing expert tax guidance on strategic projects, commercial initiatives, and organisational change.
  • Key priorities include improving VAT efficiency, supporting strategic initiatives and new product development, managing relationships with tax authorities and advisers, and helping shape the future direction and structure of the tax function.

Requirements

We're interested in hearing from tax professionals with experience operating within complex, multi-entity organisations and the ability to translate technical tax issues into clear, practical business advice. Strong VAT expertise is essential; experience in the education sector or other VAT-complex environments is strongly desirable.
