About the Opportunity
An established and growing accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Tax Director or Partner to join its expanding tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded tax professional looking to take on a senior leadership role within a collaborative and ambitious practice.
You will manage a varied portfolio of clients, provide high-quality tax advisory services, mentor and develop junior team members, and play a key role in driving the continued growth and success of the tax department.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Work alongside senior leadership on a broad range of complex tax advisory projects across both corporate and personal tax matters.
- Oversee and support the preparation of transaction documentation relating to company reorganisations, share schemes, property transfers, trusts, corporate sales and acquisitions, and demergers.
- Draft technical responses to HMRC enquiries and provide practical, commercially focused advice.
- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the tax team through coaching, training, appraisals, and recruitment.
- Identify opportunities for additional advisory work within the client portfolio.
- Support business development activities, including networking and winning new clients.
- Contribute to the strategic growth and ongoing success of the tax department.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- CTA qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
- Proven experience delivering tax advisory services.
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A collaborative leadership style with experience managing and developing teams.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and accounting software.
- Experience managing compliance risk and maintaining high professional standards.
