Tax Director – Advisory | Northamptonshire | £100,000+ + Benefits | Pathway to Partner
Looking for a senior tax role where you can influence the direction of the practice and build towards Partnership?
A growing independent accountancy firm in Northamptonshire is seeking a Tax Director to help develop its established tax advisory offering.
Working alongside an experienced Tax Partner, you will take a leading role in advising owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals, developing client relationships and supporting the team.
This opportunity would suit an experienced tax professional who enjoys complex advisory work and wants greater involvement in the leadership and future growth of a firm.
The Role
Your focus will be on delivering practical, commercially relevant tax advice across corporate and personal tax. You will work closely with the Tax Partner on complex projects and strategic client matters, with scope to influence how the advisory offering develops.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Leading and delivering complex tax advisory assignments
- Managing senior relationships with an established portfolio of clients
- Advising owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals
- Identifying further advisory opportunities within the existing client base
- Supporting and developing colleagues within the tax team
- Contributing to the growth and direction of the firm’s tax offering
About You
You will be ACA and/or CTA qualified, or hold an equivalent qualification, with a strong background in tax advisory within accountancy practice.
You Will Also Bring:
- Experience advising owner-managed businesses
- The confidence to manage client relationships and complex discussions at a senior level
- A practical, commercial approach to tax advice
- An interest in developing business and strengthening client relationships
- The ability to support colleagues and contribute to the wider leadership of the firm
