A Top 10 accountancy firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Associate Director to join its highly regarded Tax Investigations & Disputes team in London. The Opportunity
As Associate Director, you'll lead on complex Tax Investigations and Tax Disputes matters while supporting Partners in developing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and driving the continued growth of the team. You'll work across a broad range of contentious tax matters, including COP8 and COP9 investigations, HMRC enquiries, voluntary disclosures, Code of Practice cases, and settlement negotiations. Alongside your technical expertise, you'll be encouraged to develop your own client portfolio and play an active role in the firm's business development strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex Tax Investigations & Tax Disputes assignments.
- Manage COP8 and COP9 cases from initial instruction through to resolution.
- Advise clients on HMRC enquiries, disclosures, settlements, and dispute resolution strategies.
- Build and strengthen relationships with clients and professional referrers.
- Support Partners with business development initiatives and winning new work.
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior members of the team.
- Contribute to the continued growth of one of the firm's fastest-growing specialist service lines.
About You
- A minimum of 5 years' experience within a Tax Investigations or Tax Disputes practice.
- Strong technical knowledge across HMRC enquiries, COP8, COP9, voluntary disclosures, and dispute resolution.
- Previous experience managing complex client relationships and leading assignments.
- Commercial awareness with an interest in business development.
- Previous HMRC experience is advantageous but not essential.
- CTA, ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
