Tax Disputes & Resolution Director
Cheltenham, Bristol, Cardiff
At Hazlewoods, we help businesses, entrepreneurs and private clients make confident decisions and achieve their ambitions. As demand for specialist tax disputes support continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Tax Disputes & Resolution Director to lead and develop this exciting area of our Tax Advisory practice.
This is a unique opportunity to build and shape a market-leading Tax Disputes & Resolution offering. Working closely with our Private Client, Corporate Tax and Advisory teams, you'll advise clients through HMRC enquiries, investigations, disclosures and complex tax disputes, providing expert guidance when it matters most.

We're looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial awareness and a passion for building lasting client relationships. You'll be a trusted adviser to clients, an influential leader within the firm, and an ambassador for Hazlewoods across the Southwest market.
What you'll bring
- Extensive experience handling HMRC enquiries, investigations, disclosures and tax disputes
- CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent HMRC experience
- Strong technical expertise across UK tax administration and compliance matters
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- A proven ability to identify opportunities and drive business growth
- Experience leading, developing and mentoring others
