Position: Tax Disputes Solicitor - NQ-2 PQE
Company: Legal 500 Commercial Firm
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000
Location: City of London (Hybrid working)
A well known and established boutique, based in central London not far from Farringdon station, is looking for a confident junior Solicitor (NQ-2 PQE) to join their tax disputes team. The firm has a strong specialism focusing on providing personal and commercial services to SMEs, Directors, shareholders, HNW Individuals, and financial institutions including banks. While the overall firm is mid-sized and close-knit, the tax disputes team is significant, with over 10 legal professionals including 4 Partners.
The firm is open to candidates from a Legal 500, national, or international background, prioritising experience in tax disputes and personality fit over qualifying firm. The ideal candidate will have experience with HMRC and of Tax Tribunal procedures. In renumeration they can offer a flexible work/life balance and competitive compensation including strong benefits. Key Responsibilities:
- Managing tax dispute matters under supervision.
- Assist team Partners and Senior Associates on complex matters.
- Deliver outstanding client service, with relationship building and a sound understanding of client legal and commercial requirements.
- Conduct personal development and advocacy when required.
Skills and Experience:
- UK qualified Solicitor with 0 - 2 years PQE from a reputable London firm.
- A demonstrated track record of tax disputes with an enthusiasm for the sector and experience with HMRC and tax tribunals.
- Strong academic background is preferred.
- Technically strong understanding of legal processes and strong commercial judgment.
- A passionate personality with an enthusiasm for personal development and strong interpersonal skills.
