Senior Manager
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading alternative investment manager to appoint a Tax Structuring Manager / Senior Manager. This is a commercially focused role sitting within a high-calibre in-house tax team, supporting the firm's continued growth across private equity, credit, infrastructure and real assets strategies.
The successful individual will work closely with the investment, legal, finance and investor relations teams, providing tax support across fund launches, new investment strategies, acquisitions, disposals and cross-border transactions. This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence key commercial decisions from inception through to execution.
Key Responsibilities
Fund Structuring & Product Development
- Lead and support the tax structuring of new funds, co-investment vehicles and carried interest arrangements.
- Advise on the tax implications of new investment strategies and product launches.
- Assess the impact of tax legislation and regulatory developments on existing and proposed fund structures.
- Coordinate with external advisers across multiple jurisdictions to obtain specialist tax advice where required.

Transaction Support
- Provide tax input on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and refinancing transactions.
- Review tax due diligence findings and advise on transaction structuring opportunities and risks.
- Support investment teams throughout the deal lifecycle, from initial evaluation through to exit.
- Assist with post-acquisition integration and ongoing tax risk management.
International & Cross-Border Advisory
- Advise on holding structures, financing arrangements and repatriation strategies.
- Review the tax efficiency of cross-border investment structures.
- Consider withholding tax, permanent establishment, anti-hybrid and transfer pricing implications.
- Monitor international tax developments and assess their impact on the firm's structures and operations.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with investment professionals, legal counsel, fund finance and operations teams.
- Present tax recommendations to senior management and investment committees.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisers, fund administrators and service providers.

Tax Risk & Governance
- Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks associated with fund and investment structures.
- Support the development of internal tax governance frameworks and policies.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of tax positions and structuring decisions.
- Assist with tax authority enquiries and audits when required.
Candidate Profile
We are interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- ACA, CTA, CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
- Experience gained within a Big 4, Top 10 or specialist advisory practice, or an in-house alternatives tax team.
- Strong exposure to fund structuring, private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate or hedge fund clients.
- Experience advising on international tax and cross-border investment structures.
- Excellent commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
