Tax Investigations Case Handler
London | £40,000-£55,000 | Hybrid | Specialist Tax Investigations Firm
A growing London-based specialist Tax Investigations firm is looking to appoint an experienced Case Handler to join its expanding Tax Investigations & Disputes team.
With a strong pipeline of work and continued investment in the team, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within Tax Investigations.
The Opportunity
You'll work alongside experienced Tax Investigations professionals across a varied caseload, gaining exposure to complex HMRC investigations and developing your technical expertise.

The role will include:
- HMRC investigations and enquiries
- COP8 and COP9
- WDF and voluntary disclosures
- Preparing correspondence and responses to HMRC
- Reviewing client information and documentation
- Supporting investigation strategies and case preparation
- Liaising with HMRC and clients
- Settlement negotiations
- Supporting complex and contentious investigations
Progression
This isn't a role where you'll be sitting at Case Handler level for years.
The firm has a clear focus on developing its people, with the opportunity to progress to Manager within 12 months for the right individual.

What We're Looking For
- Previous Tax Investigations or Tax Disputes experience
- Strong HMRC investigation experience
- Knowledge of COP8, COP9 and/or WDF
- Excellent communication and case management skills
- Confidence dealing with clients and HMRC
- Ambition to progress within Tax Investigations
