Tax Investigations Director | Glasgow

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Join a Leading Specialist Tax Investigations Firm

A highly regarded specialist Tax Investigations & Disputes practice is looking to appoint a Director to support its continued growth in Scotland.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Tax Investigations professional to join a firm that works exclusively in this specialist field, advising clients on complex, high-value HMRC enquiries, disputes and disclosures. You'll play a key role in shaping the firm's future, combining technical excellence with a strong commercial mindset.

The Opportunity

As Director, you'll lead on complex client matters while helping to drive the firm's continued success. Business development is essential - this role is suited to someone with a proven ability to build relationships, generate new work and grow a successful practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex HMRC enquiries, investigations and dispute resolution matters.
  • Advise clients through disclosures, negotiations and settlements.
  • Build and maintain strong client and professional referrer relationships.
  • Generate new business and identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor and develop members of the team.
  • Represent the firm across the professional services market and contribute to its long-term strategy.

About You

  • 2+ years' experience within a Tax Investigations or Tax Disputes practice.
  • A demonstrable track record of business development and winning new work (essential).
  • Strong technical expertise across HMRC enquiries and investigations.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
  • Previous HMRC experience is preferred but not essential.
  • CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification is desirable.
