Tax Investigations Manager
Location: Milton Keynes | Hybrid
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 + Benefits
A leading Top 50 accountancy firm is looking to hire a Tax Investigations Manager into its growing Tax Investigations team. A strong opportunity for an experienced Tax Investigations professional looking for complex casework, greater responsibility, and clear progression.
The Role
- Managing complex HMRC enquiries and investigations
- COP8 & COP9
- Voluntary disclosures and settlements
- Disclosure reports and HMRC correspondence
- Financial and tax analysis
- HMRC negotiations
- ADR, appeals, and contentious tax matters
- Managing client relationships and supporting junior team members
- Helping grow the Tax Investigations offering

About You
- 3+ years' experience in Tax Investigations, Tax Disputes, or HMRC Enquiries
- Experience handling complex investigations
- COP8/COP9 experience
- Confident dealing with clients and HMRC
- Strong technical and communication skills
- CTA/ATT/ACA/ACCA advantageous but not essential
