Tax Investigations Senior Manager
Leeds | £60,000 - £80,000 + benefits | Permanent
A leading and growing accountancy firm is looking to appoint a Tax Investigations Senior Manager to join its expanding Tax Investigations team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax investigations professional who is looking for genuine career progression, increased responsibility and the opportunity to develop within a growing specialist team.
The role would suit someone already operating at Manager level, but the firm is also open to experienced Assistant Managers who are ready to take the next step.
Applications are also welcomed from HMRC professionals looking to make their first move into practice.
The Role
You will work across a varied portfolio of tax investigations and disputes, advising individuals and businesses throughout the lifecycle of HMRC enquiries.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of complex HMRC tax investigations and enquiries
- Advising clients on tax disputes, disclosures and settlements
- Working on a range of investigations involving individuals, owner-managed businesses and corporate clients
- Dealing with HMRC enquiries and negotiations through to resolution
- Providing technical advice across areas such as COP8, COP9, Code of Practice 9, tax disclosures and penalties
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted adviser
- Supporting more junior members of the team and helping develop their technical capability
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the firm's Tax Investigations offering
- Identifying opportunities to develop existing client relationships and win new work
