Tax Lead

This Tax Lead position in the leisure, travel, and tourism industry will have you managing tax compliance and advisory matters, ensuring the smooth operation of the organisation's tax function. You'll play a key role in overseeing tax obligations, helping the business stay on top of regulations and making informed decisions.

Description

  • Contribute to the ongoing management of tax-related obligations and associated reporting activities.
  • Support the review and assessment of asset-related tax considerations throughout the financial year.
  • Coordinate various tax and statutory submissions, ensuring key deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statement disclosures and supporting documentation where required.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with external advisers and relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Keep informed of developments in taxation and regulatory matters, highlighting potential implications where appropriate.
  • Participate in discussions with external stakeholders and support reviews relating to compliance and governance matters.
  • Help maintain robust control environments and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide input into wider financial reporting and group-level information requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes, controls, and reporting methodologies.
  • Support the implementation of system developments and process improvements across reporting functions.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and project work as required to support business priorities.

A successful Tax Lead should have:

  • Professional tax or accounting qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing tax obligations across corporation tax, VAT is an added benefit.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex tax information clearly and effectively.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
