Tax Manager | Private Markets | London
Not sure you're ready to move fully in-house, but looking to step away from the traditional professional services model? This opportunity offers a genuine alternative. You'll effectively act as the in-house tax function for a portfolio of sophisticated private markets clients, becoming a trusted adviser on a broad range of strategic, operational and cross-border tax matters. It combines the variety and technical challenge of advisory work with the commercial exposure, ownership and stakeholder interaction typically associated with an in-house role.
A leading professional services firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join a specialist team supporting private markets clients across a wide range of international tax, reporting and operational matters.
This is a broad, commercially focused position working with investment managers and their fund structures across multiple jurisdictions. The role combines technical tax advisory work with oversight of ongoing tax processes, transaction support and direct interaction with senior stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
