Anderson Knight are delighted to be supporting our client, a Glasgow based accountancy and business advisory firm.
Working closely with ambitious business owners and individuals, providing proactive advice that goes beyond compliance. You will act as a trusted adviser, helping grow their businesses and navigate key decisions.
The Opportunity
As a smaller, independent practice, you'll be involved in both advisory and compliance work. Rather than sitting in a specialist silo, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of tax matters and play a key role in developing our tax offering.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll manage a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients while leading on a wide range of tax advisory projects, including:
- Corporate restructuring
- Business sales, acquisitions and succession planning
- Shareholder and remuneration planning
- Capital Gains Tax planning
- Inheritance Tax planning
- Property taxation
- Employee share schemes
- SEIS and EIS advisory work
- Trust taxation
- HMRC enquiries and investigations

You'll also:
- Review and sign off complex tax computations and returns
- Identify and deliver proactive tax planning opportunities
- Attend and lead client meetings
- Build strong, long-term relationships with business owners and individuals
- Support strategic business decisions from a tax perspective
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Work closely with the Partners to grow and develop the firm's tax services
What We're Looking For
- CA/CTA qualified
- Experience within a general practitioner
- Communicates with honesty, integrity and confidence
- Builds rapport and trust with clients naturally
- Enjoys solving problems and finding practical solutions
- Strong corporate and personal tax knowledge
- Experience managing client relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
