Tax Manager
The Opportunity
TCR is a leading global provider of Ground Support Equipment ("GSE") solutions and services to airlines, airports, and ground handling companies. As the Group continues its international growth through organic expansion and acquisitions, we are seeking a Tax Manager to join the Group Tax function.
This is a broad and varied role covering UK and international tax compliance, tax reporting, VAT, and transfer pricing. Working closely with finance teams across the UK, Belgium, and other international locations, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that the Group meets its statutory obligations, supports commercial growth, and maintains robust tax governance across the Group.

UK Corporate Tax Compliance
- Manage the preparation and review of UK corporation tax returns, tax computations, and supporting documentation.
- Review UK taxable profit calculations and identify tax risks and opportunities.
- Oversee and manage UK withholding tax compliance and treaty relief processes.
- Oversee the Group's corporate interest restriction and thin capitalisation position, working closely with external advisers.
- Monitor changes in UK and international tax legislation and assess their impact on the Group.
Tax Reporting
- Prepare and review the Group’s annual tax reporting under IFRS, working closely with the finance team.
- Calculate and review current and deferred tax provisions.
- Support preparation of tax disclosures for statutory accounts and consolidated Group financial statements.
- Liaise with external auditors on tax accounting matters.
- Support the development and monitoring of tax reporting controls and processes.

VAT and Indirect Taxes
- Work with external advisers to manage UK and overseas VAT compliance and VAT return preparation.
- Support UK and overseas VAT registrations and ongoing compliance requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
- Provide practical VAT advice on cross-border transactions, leasing arrangements, and supply chain activities.
- Review VAT risks, recovery positions, and compliance processes.
- Support implementation of e-invoicing and digital tax initiatives.
- Assist with VAT audits, enquiries, and tax authority correspondence where required.
Transfer Pricing
- Coordinate the Group's transfer pricing policy and operating model.
- Manage external advisers in the preparation and review of Master Files, Local Files, and supporting documentation in a cost-efficient manner.
- Monitor compliance with the Group's transfer pricing policies across multiple jurisdictions.
- Review intercompany transactions and ensure appropriate supporting legal agreements are maintained.
- Support implementation of new transfer pricing requirements and reporting obligations.
- Assist with Pillar Two and other international tax initiatives where relevant.
Tax Advisory and Business Projects
- Support acquisitions, restructurings, and international expansion projects.
- Support the review of the tax implications of financing arrangements and intra-group transactions.
- Prepare technical memoranda, presentations, and tax papers for internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Support implementation of new tax legislation and international tax developments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes, governance, and controls across the Group.

We are looking for a candidate who
- Is ACA, ACCA, and/or CTA qualified, or holds an equivalent professional qualification.
- Has at least 3-5 years’ relevant experience in UK corporate tax, either within practice or industry.
- Has experience preparing or reviewing tax returns and tax reporting calculations under IFRS.
- Has exposure to transfer pricing compliance and documentation, ideally within a multinational group.
- Has experience of VAT matters or a willingness to develop broader VAT expertise.
- Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is comfortable managing multiple projects, deadlines, and external advisers.
- Is commercially minded and able to explain complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders.
- Is collaborative, proactive, and adaptable within a fast-growing international environment.
Practicalities
- Working alongside the Belgium and UK finance team.
- Hybrid working: up to 2 days WFH per week.
- Regular collaboration with operational HQ in Belgium and overseas finance teams, with travel between London and Brussels (once or twice per month).
