About the Role

Finance Operations delivers services to the Finance organisation and businesses for all Vodafone IoT (Internet of Things) entities. The role holds global accountability for delivering:

  • All financial actuals
  • Secure margin
  • Value across all IoT territories, currently focusing on the UK, US, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

You will oversee operational strategies to optimize tax positions, aligning them with Vodafone IoT’s business objectives. With support from internal and external teams, you will:

  • Ensure Transfer Pricing, Direct Tax, Withholding Tax, and Indirect Tax compliance and reporting across all IoT jurisdictions.
  • Manage internal, external, and government audits as needed.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Provide innovative, efficient, and tax-effective advice for the Vodafone IoT Group to minimize unexpected tax costs on operations and financials.

  • Tax Compliance in Multinational Footprint – Handle tax matters for multiple Vodafone IoT registrations across global territories to minimize risks.
  • Stakeholder Relationships – Build effective partnerships with:
    • Outsourced providers
    • Finance operations
    • Shared service teams
    • Overseas Tax Authorities Ensure operational excellence and performance management with Vodafone shared services.
  • Tax Reporting – Prepare submissions for Vodafone Group forecasts and statutory reporting processes.
  • Financial Integrity – Maintain robust controls over tax figures posted in financial systems and disclosures in statutory accounts.
  • Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Processes – Oversee end-to-end documentation and audits for intercompany transactions across all Vodafone IoT entities.
  • Tax Planning & Efficiency – Identify opportunities for improvement to maximize operational efficiencies within legal frameworks.
  • Tax Advisory Work – Collaborate with internal teams to provide comprehensive tax guidance on contracting models and new product offerings.
  • Transaction Analysis & Risk Mitigation – Review all transactions, ensuring compliance with direct and indirect tax principles, and monitor potential risks.
  • Strategy Reviews – Partner with external consultants and internal teams to analyze operating mechanisms across Vodafone IoT footprint.
  • Intercompany Alignments – Ensure intercompany agreements reflect the functions and responsibilities of each entity.
  • Transfer Pricing Adjustments – Stay current with the latest regulatory updates to implement accurate and timely intercompany charges in all locations.

Who You Are

Ideal candidates will have:

  • +5 years of tax experience in a complex and dynamic operating environment.
  • Strong international tax expertise with an analytical approach to achieving team objectives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills– Ensuring clarity in representing results, processes, and procedures to diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems such as SAP and Longview.
  • High personal responsibility, solution-oriented mindset – Embracing a "Can Do" attitude.
