Join a leading multinational airline holding company as a Tax Manager, supporting one of the UK's most recognised aviation brands through a critical year-end corporation tax compliance period.
Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join a high-performing in-house tax team and play a key role in delivering corporation tax compliance across the British Airways Group. Working closely with senior tax stakeholders, you'll help manage a significant filing workload, ensuring accurate and timely submission of tax returns while providing wider tax support to the business.
Role Details
- Day Rate: £675 per day (inside IR35)
- Location: Waterside, Heathrow (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in office)
- Contract Length: Until 31 December 2026 (with visibility to extend)
- Interview Process: Two-stage interview process

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns across the British Airways Group.
- Review final accounts, fixed asset data and general ledger information to ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Manage corporation tax compliance activities using AlphaTax, ensuring returns are completed accurately and on time.
- Support IFRS tax reporting, interim reporting processes and statutory tax disclosures.
- Assist with responses to HMRC enquiries and information requests.
- Provide analysis and documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, tax advisers and finance teams to deliver tax compliance and advisory activities.

Key Requirements
- Strong corporation tax compliance experience, ideally gained in-house or within a professional services environment.
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing UK corporation tax returns.
- ACA, CTA or ACCA qualified preferred (ATT/AAT also considered with relevant experience).
- Excellent Excel skills with strong attention to detail and analytical capability.
- Ability to confidently review, explain and defend figures used within tax computations and returns.
- Experience with AlphaTax and/or OneSource would be highly advantageous.
- Previous exposure to fixed assets, CapEx-intensive businesses or HMRC correspondence is beneficial.
