Tax Manager
A Tax Manager role based in Wetherby within the professional services industry, focusing on managing tax compliance and advisory tasks for clients. This position is key to ensuring tax obligations are met while providing support to optimise tax strategies.

Description
- Manage the income tax compliance for a portfolio of clients, as a continuing element of the role.
- Prepare income tax computations and returns.
- Liaise with HMRC in respect of client matters.
- Perform research on tax technical issues and assist in drafting relevant tax advice for clients as required.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and other service providers.
- Take on advisory work as your experience develops, working alongside senior colleagues on client matters beyond core compliance.
- Contribute to the development of the wider tax team, with a view to progressing into a department-leading role over time.

Profile
- ATT/CTA qualified with relevant experience
- Previous experience working with private clients, advising on personal taxation, shareholder matters, and estate and succession planning would be preferable but not essential.
- A desire to develop strong tax technical knowledge across CGT and income tax, with a broad knowledge across other tax heads.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to develop relationships with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Genuine interest in progression, with ambition to move into a leadership role within the department.

Job Offer
- Circa salary between £55,000 and £65,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- A permanent position within a London-based professional services firm.
