Private Business Tax Manager

A Big 4 firm based in London is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join its established team. This role offers the opportunity to manage and advise a varied portfolio of large privately owned organisations, private equity-backed companies, and fast-growing businesses on complex tax matters, while working within a high-performing team that is committed to the development of your skills and long-term career progression.

The Role:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services.
  • Assist with complex corporate tax matters including tax planning, group structuring, and wider business tax issues.
  • Review corporate tax returns and computations prepared by junior team members and ensure technical accuracy.
  • Support Partners and Senior Managers on advisory projects and ad hoc tax planning work.
  • Contribute to the training, coaching, and development of junior staff.
  • Build strong client relationships, acting as a reliable point of contact for day-to-day tax queries.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client service and support broader practice growth.

About You:

  • ACA or CTA qualified, or part-qualified with strong experience in corporate tax.
  • A solid technical foundation in UK corporate tax and experience working with a range of clients.
  • Comfortable managing your own client portfolio in a busy practice environment.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain tax matters clearly and confidently.
  • Proactive, organised, and interested in contributing to business development and internal projects.
