About the Role

We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our ambitious tax team in Edinburgh at an exciting time of change and development. This role offers a varied mix of business-as-usual responsibilities and involvement in key strategic projects.

Responsibilities

As the lead for Corporate Tax Reporting and Compliance, you will oversee corporate tax returns, manage relationships with HMRC, coordinate withholding tax reclaims, lead the Senior Accounting Officer certification process, and manage transfer pricing activities across the UK business. Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Providing technical expertise on tax legislation and regulatory changes, ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including Group reporting, annual accounts and Solvency II returns.

  • Identifying tax risks and ensuring robust policies, procedures and controls are in place to minimise risk and prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with HMRC, external auditors and tax advisers, ensuring compliance requirements are met and best practices are adopted.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
