Role Description
The Tax Manager – Advisory will manage and deliver UK tax advisory projects for high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and privately owned businesses. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and drafting technical tax advice, managing client relationships, overseeing junior team members, and ensuring assignments are completed accurately and on time. The role involves identifying tax planning opportunities, interpreting legislation, preparing reports and presentations, and collaborating with partners on complex matters. The Tax Manager will also support business development activities, such as contributing to proposals, thought leadership, and internal technical updates. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Leicester, with a combination of office-based work and some work from home.

- Strong UK tax advisory expertise, with experience advising high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and privately owned businesses.
- Proficiency in interpreting UK tax legislation, drafting technical reports, and providing clear, practical recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client portfolios, build long-term relationships, and handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff, including reviewing work and supporting professional development.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in accessible language.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to prioritize multiple advisory projects and meet deadlines.
- Relevant professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, or ACCA (or equivalent), or significant demonstrable experience in UK tax advisory.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, collaborating with team members in Leicester and remotely.
- Experience in business development activities, including contributing to proposals, networking, or thought leadership, is beneficial.
