We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Tax Manager to join our client's Group Tax function on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a complex international business, supporting tax compliance, reporting, risk management, and strategic commercial initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring tax obligations are met while providing practical tax guidance that supports business objectives.

What You'll Be Doing

As Tax Manager, you will:

  • Manage corporation tax compliance activities across multiple UK entities.
  • Prepare and review corporation tax computations and supporting documentation.
  • Support IFRS tax reporting and statutory accounts disclosures.
  • Assist with interim tax reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors.
  • Support cash tax forecasting and earnings tax reporting.
  • Provide tax advice on commercial transactions, restructures, and growth initiatives.
  • Help identify and manage tax risks while ensuring compliance with tax governance policies.
  • Partner with finance teams and stakeholders across the business on a range of tax matters.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • ACA and/or CTA qualified.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate tax within industry or professional practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax and tax reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Experience using Alphatax.
  • Experience dealing directly with HMRC and tax authorities.
  • Experience within aviation or other capital-intensive industries.
  • Exposure to tax risk management and process improvement initiatives.
