📢 European Tax Manager | Chester | 12-Month Contract
I’m currently looking to speak with experienced European / Corporate Tax professionals who may be interested in a 12-month contract opportunity with a global multinational business in Chester.
📍 Role Details
- Position: European Tax Manager
- Location: Chester, UK
- Contract: 12 months
- Employment: PAYE
- Rate: £41.21 per hour
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Working pattern: 50/50 hybrid — split between home and the Chester office
- Notice period: Candidates with up to 1 month’s notice are considered
- Interview process: 2 stages
💼 About the Role
This role sits within the European Tax Centre of Excellence and will focus on managing direct tax reporting and compliance requirements across a group of European markets.

Key responsibilities include:
- Corporate Income Tax Returns and compliance
- Current and deferred tax provisions
- Corporate Income Tax payments
- Tax reporting and statutory financial statement disclosures
- Transfer Pricing documentation and financial data analysis
- Liaising with external tax advisers and auditors
- Working with tax authorities where required
- Monitoring changes in local tax legislation and advising stakeholders
- Supporting tax advisory projects and wider European tax initiatives
- Contributing to tax technology, automation, standardisation and continuous improvement
🎯 We're particularly interested in professionals with:
- Strong corporate/direct tax experience
- European or multinational tax experience
- Experience with Corporate Income Tax compliance
- Experience with tax provisions, reporting and/or statutory accounts
- Strong accounting and financial reporting understanding
- ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent qualification/background
- Experience working in a multinational corporate environment or professional services/practice
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience with TaxStream, Transfer Pricing and indirect tax would be advantageous.
