Tax Manager Opportunity in London
Brewer Morris is partnering with a growing insurance business to search for a Tax Manager to join the London tax team.
This successful insurance group operates across six continents with steady growth, estimated at 12% annually. This growth is partly due to a recent acquisition which has led to interesting tax projects and a larger tax team of 4 people.
About the Role
As a Tax Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Tax and assist with the preparation and submission of tax returns across the UK and Europe, including Corporate Tax, VAT, and IPT.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the advisors to assist with the preparation of the corporate tax return and VAT and indirect tax returns.
- Maintenance and enhancement of transfer pricing documentation.
- Preparing tax disclosures for statutory accounts, regulatory returns, and Group reporting.
- Liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely provision of tax information.
- Designing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, automation, and data quality.
- Maintaining and documenting robust tax controls within the overall risk management framework.
- Responding to IPT queries.
- Producing payment-on-account estimates for settlement with HMRC and relevant European tax authorities.
- Supporting implementation of tax regulatory developments (e.g., BEPS Pillar Two).
- Supporting ad hoc tax projects, reporting requests, and business initiatives.

To be considered for this position, you should ideally be ACA, CTA, or ACCA qualified with demonstrable corporate tax and indirect tax experience. Insurance sector experience is advantageous but not essential. Excellent project management skills and the ability to communicate and liaise with key stakeholders are essential.
Compensation
This opportunity offers a base salary of £80,000-£90,000 plus a competitive bonus and benefits. The tax team follows a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the London office.
