Working alongside MassMutual, CVC DIF will enable Low Carbon to significantly expand its installed capacity and drive the next stage of growth as a diversified, leading next-generation IPP.
Role Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join the Finance Team at Low Carbon, reporting directly to the Group Head of Tax. The Tax Manager will develop and lead tax reporting for the Group, ensuring accurate and timely compliance with all local regulations, and will be responsible for identifying operational efficiencies, opportunities for tax relief and mitigating tax risk.
The role will include working with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers and advisers across multiple jurisdictions. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise across a broad range of tax disciplines while helping to shape best practice within the Group.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead direct and indirect tax reporting for UK and overseas entities, ensuring accurate and timely compliance.
- Manage key tax workstreams, including tax provisions, transfer pricing, R&D, capital allowances, CIR and anti-hybrid matters.
- Maintain tax governance, controls and risk management processes, escalating key matters as required.
- Monitor tax legislative changes and assess the impact on the Group's operations, reporting and projects.
- Improve tax processes through technology, automation and more efficient ways of working.
- Coordinate tax audits and manage relationships with external advisers, service providers and tax authorities.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide clear, solution-focused tax advice.
Skills & Experience
- Qualified tax professional, with demonstratable experience in a Tax Manager role gained in practice and/or industry.
- Bring broad technical tax knowledge across direct tax, indirect tax, employment tax, SDLT, transfer pricing, R&D, capital allowances, CIR, cross-border, real estate and international tax matters.
- Demonstrate experience using ERP systems, tax technology and data analysis software to support process improvement, implementation and automation.
- Able to balance technical tax considerations with practical, commercially aware advice for the business, with the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders.
- A critical and independent thinker, with good judgement, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Organised and collaborative, with a methodical approach and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
