Are you an experienced Tax Manager looking to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice?
Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Tax Manager to join a respected practice based in Penrith. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, provide expert tax advice, and support the continued growth of the firm's tax function. Offering hybrid working and a collaborative environment, this role is ideal for someone looking to further their career within a supportive practice.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Previous experience working as a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Accountant within an accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of personal and corporate taxation
- Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients
- CTA, ATT, ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines

Desirable:
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior members of staff
- Knowledge of tax planning and advisory services
- Experience using accountancy software such as Xero, Sage, IRIS or CCH
- Proactive and commercially minded approach
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients, ensuring all compliance deadlines are met.
- Prepare and review personal tax returns, corporation tax returns, and partnership tax returns.
- Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services to individuals, owner-managed businesses, and corporate clients.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Review the work of junior team members and provide mentoring and technical support where required.
- Liaise directly with HMRC regarding client matters and resolve tax-related queries.
- Identify opportunities to improve tax efficiencies and deliver value-added advice to clients.
- Ensure compliance with current tax legislation and keep up to date with changes affecting clients.
- Support Partners with business development opportunities and the continued growth of the tax department.

As a Tax Manager, you will also be expected to:
- Be a proactive and motivated individual with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Deliver exceptional client service and build lasting professional relationships.
- Be committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
