About the Job

Working as part of an established private client tax team, the US/UK Tax Manager will be responsible for managing complex cross-border client relationships and completing the following duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients with both US and UK personal tax obligations
  • Advise internationally mobile individuals on complex cross-border tax matters
  • Deliver advisory work relating to residence, domicile, foreign tax credits, and double taxation
  • Review US and UK personal tax returns
  • Work with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and senior executives
  • Advise private equity professionals, investment professionals, and law firm partners
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and provide practical, commercially focused advice
  • Manage client relationships and communicate complex technical matters clearly
  • Review the work of junior team members and support their development
  • Assist with proposals, referrals, and wider business development activity
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s US/UK tax offering

Previous Experience

  • Current experience at Manager or Senior Manager level
  • Strong experience handling both US and UK personal tax matters
  • Enrolled Agent status is required
  • ATT qualification, or an equivalent relevant qualification, is required
  • Experience reviewing both US and UK tax returns
  • Strong advisory and client management experience
  • Exposure to high-net-worth or internationally mobile individuals
  • Experience with private equity professionals or law firm partners would be highly advantageous
  • Evidence of strong technical development and career progression
  • Must have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
