Tax Professional

Our client is seeking a seasoned tax professional to take ownership of and further develop our Tax services. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise and commercial awareness, allowing you to provide tailored tax guidance to affluent individuals, families, founders, and business proprietors.

As part of the firm’s senior leadership team, you’ll be instrumental in overseeing sophisticated client portfolios, delivering high-level advisory solutions, and contributing to the expansion of this key area of the business.

Client Engagement

  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with wealthy individuals and business owners, serving as a trusted advisor on personal taxation matters.

Technical Advisory

  • Deliver complex tax planning and structuring solutions, particularly in areas such as inheritance considerations, capital disposals, trusts, estate strategies, residency status, and income taxation.

  • Oversee personal tax compliance requirements, ensuring obligations are met while proactively identifying opportunities for tax efficiency.

Project Ownership

  • Manage intricate tax advisory projects from initial planning through to execution, ensuring outcomes align with client goals and expectations.

Regulatory Insight

  • Keep up to date with developments in UK tax law and ensure both clients and internal teams are informed and prepared for changes.

Team Development

  • Guide and support less experienced team members, encouraging professional growth and maintaining high standards of performance.

Business Growth

  • Contribute to the expansion of the private client function through involvement in proposals, networking, and sharing insights with the wider market.

Experience & Capabilities

  • Extensive background in advising private clients on tax matters, ideally within a well-regarded accounting or advisory environment.
  • Deep knowledge of inheritance and capital gains planning, alongside experience with trusts, estate arrangements, and personal tax frameworks.
  • Professionally qualified (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex advisory work and high-value client portfolios.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including developing and mentoring team members.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to spot opportunities that benefit both clients and the organisation.
