A leading global organisation is seeking an experienced tax professional to join its EMEA tax team, supporting a diverse international portfolio across the UK and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to combine technical tax expertise with commercial advisory work in a complex multinational environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the regional tax leadership team, you will take ownership of a range of corporate and international tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. The role combines advisory, compliance, reporting and tax risk management responsibilities, working closely with finance, treasury, legal and external advisers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and commercially focused advice on UK and international tax matters.
- Manage corporate tax compliance and reporting obligations, including tax computations, returns and tax accounting.
- Support financing and treasury activities, including loan relationships and derivative contracts.
- Advise on corporate transactions, restructurings, distributions and legal entity simplification projects.
- Assess and manage tax risks, ensuring appropriate governance and documentation.
- Lead and support tax audits, enquiries and controversy matters.
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external advisers.
- Monitor legislative developments, including Pillar Two, and support implementation initiatives.
- Drive process improvement, automation and enhanced use of data and technology across the tax function.

About You
- Significant UK corporate tax experience gained within a leading professional services firm and/or multinational in-house tax function.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax, ideally including financing arrangements, loan relationships and derivative contracts.
- Sound understanding of international tax concepts and cross-border transactions.
- Ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly to commercial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, commercial judgement and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CA or CTA.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial or tax systems.
- Exposure to automation, data analytics or reporting tools such as Power BI, Power Query or Alteryx would be advantageous.
- Experience within a multinational, energy, resources, infrastructure or similarly complex business environment would be beneficial.
