Tax Reporting Manager – 6 Month FTC
Location: Mayfair, London – Hybrid
Salary / Day Rate: Competitive + Bonus
Our client is a global energy group based in Mayfair, London, seeking to appoint an experienced Tax Reporting Manager on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.
The role will take responsibility for group tax reporting, tax accounting and compliance-related activities, working closely with senior finance and tax stakeholders across multiple international entities and jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of group tax reporting, including current and deferred tax calculations.
- Manage tax accounting requirements for monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting cycles.
- Prepare and review tax provisions, tax reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Support the preparation of consolidated tax reporting for senior management and external reporting purposes.
- Coordinate tax reporting inputs across multiple entities, regions, and international operations.
- Work closely with local finance teams, external advisers, and auditors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and related tax disclosures.
- Review effective tax rate calculations and provide analysis of key movements and variances.
- Support group tax compliance processes and ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Assist with tax forecasting, budgeting, and cash tax planning.
- Provide technical tax accounting support on transactions, restructuring, and other business initiatives.
- Support improvements to tax reporting processes, controls, systems, and data quality.
- Assist with audit queries and provide supporting documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support ad hoc tax projects for the Group Tax Director, CFO, and wider finance leadership team.

Candidate Requirements

- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong tax reporting and tax accounting experience within a large, complex, or multinational organization.
- Previous experience operating at Tax Reporting Manager, Group Tax Manager, Tax Manager, or equivalent level.
- Strong knowledge of current and deferred tax accounting.
- Experience preparing and reviewing tax provisions, reconciliations, and statutory tax disclosures.
- Experience working across multiple entities, jurisdictions, or international operations.
- Strong understanding of group reporting processes and financial reporting deadlines.
- Experience working with senior finance stakeholders, external auditors, and tax advisers.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP, consolidation, or tax reporting systems.
- Exposure to the energy, infrastructure, commodities, or wider natural resources sectors would be advantageous.
- Experience within a listed, multinational, or highly regulated environment would be beneficial.
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
