Tax Reporting Manager – 12 Month Contract

Tax & Treasury Recruitment are partnering with a multinational organisation to find an Interim Tax Controls & Reporting Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Sitting within a well-established and collaborative group tax function, this role is critical to supporting complex group tax reporting and ensuring the robust operation of tax-specific SOX controls.

Addressing an excess workload and transitioning key activities in-house from Big 4 advisors, this position requires a hands-on self-starter who can take ownership of processes, drive audit readiness, and make an immediate impact.

Your role

  • Serve as the primary UK-based point of contact for tax SOX, ensuring controls are designed appropriately and operating effectively.
  • Support the Group’s income tax reporting processes, bridging IFRS to US GAAP requirements.
  • Maintain, enhance, and standardise tax documentation, including risk and control matrixes, and regional workpaper templates.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate and streamline tax SOX compliance without compromising audit quality.
  • Transition specific tax reporting and control activities from external advisors into the in-house team.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal process owners on SOX requirements and control execution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
