We're looking for a talented Tax Semi-Senior to join our established tax team in Rochester. We are considering different levels and qualifications and are open to candidates looking for part time hours. A mixed tax role, you will be producing advisory work for a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses and supporting the Directors of the tax team.
We are looking for individuals with initiative to develop their careers and provide a first class service to our clients in both compliance and advisory areas.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Tax Semi-Senior, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax and owner-managed business clients, ensuring compliance work is completed accurately and on time
- Preparing and reviewing self assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns for SME clients
- Managing client deadlines and workload priorities to ensure an efficient and high-quality service is delivered
- Liaising with clients, HMRC and colleagues across the firm to resolve queries and progress client matters
- Identifying potential tax planning opportunities and technical issues for discussion with senior members of the team
- Assisting with advisory projects across a range of taxes, including income tax, capital gains tax and corporation tax matters

About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- ATT qualified
- 5 years’ tax and/or accounting experience within an accountancy practice
- Good tax knowledge
- Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook and CCH accountancy software would be advantageous
- Strong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Motivated team player
