Hays is proud to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected independent Chartered Accountancy firm in Glasgow to recruit a Mixed Tax Senior. With a strong reputation in the Scottish market and a loyal client base, the firm is looking to strengthen its tax team with the addition of an experienced tax professional who enjoys working across both corporate and personal tax matters.
Your new role
This is a varied and rewarding position offering exposure to a broad portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing both corporate and personal tax returns, while providing tax planning and advisory support tailored to clients' individual circumstances. The role will see you building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring a high standard of service and acting as a trusted adviser on tax matters.
- You will also keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, helping clients navigate an evolving tax landscape.
- In addition, you may support tax audits and enquiries when required.
- While working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver joined-up and practical tax solutions.

What You'll Need To Succeed
The successful candidate will ideally hold a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CTA, although candidates with equivalent experience will also be considered. You will have previous experience working in a tax-focused role, with a sound understanding of UK tax legislation across both corporate and personal tax. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage relationships effectively and provide a high level of service to clients. You should be comfortable working independently while also contributing positively as part of a collaborative team.
